Raclette is a Swiss and Savoyard dish, also popular in other Alpine countries, based on heating cheese and scraping off the melted part, then typically served with boiled potatoes. Dishes of melted cheese were mentioned in medieval texts from Swiss convents as early as 1291.
This humanitarian dinner was held on 12 March 2022 in Mamer Schlass aimed to collect funds for helping the victims of war in Ukraine. The project is managed by a non-profit association Pharmaciens Sans Frontières Luxembourg.
